Title: Tachometer bulb
Post by: ryott52 on April 26, 2011, 10:57:58 AM
Hi, anybody know what retailers would carry the tachometer illumination bulb for an 89 GS500E? Mine burnt out and I don't feel like paying $15 for shipping for a light bulb. Thanks.

I've used a 194 bulb available at any Wallymart or Auto parts store for the speedo, tach, and 4 indicator lights on my 97 and 02 GSs.

Search past threads. You'll find lists of bulbs and LED replacements. You might even be able to use a cheap-o 12v yard light bulb. Take it to Humdep or other place and look for a similar 12v bulb.

When my speedo light died I found it to be the same T10 as my car. Put a set of blue LED's in there.

Don't have a pic, but it looks like the the normal gauges except blue.
