Title: WTB Clutch Lever Switch or Horn Button
Post by: Twism86 on April 27, 2011, 06:24:15 AM
Hi,

I need the little switch under the clutch that senses when its pulled in. The little plastic nub broke off mine due to me forgetting to take the switch out before trying to remove the lever . I can glue mine or leave it permanently engaged but if i can get a working one I would rather do that.

My horn button also cracked long ago so if anyone has one laying around that would be great.

Tom

Clutch switches are hard to get as used. Everyone breaks them because they forget you have to remove the switch before the clutch lever.

You might find one with a lever and perch. It would be simple to go to your dealer and buy a new switch.. It is an easy part for $10-$14 which any Suzuki dealer should have in stock. Older GS500's had a different switch made up of a bunch of parts. If that is what you have, you can use the new switch or buy the older parts. I suggest use the newer switch since it is  just a single switch and not separate spring, slider, PC board, etc.

For horn button, you'll need to buy a replacement left switch control block. These are on ebay and price varies depending on how sun bleached the black plastic is.
