I noticed that after installing the F1r my bike seems to sputter a 'lil about the 7500 range. Seems fine 'til that point. Running 37.5, 127.5, K&N. Was wondering if maybe fuel starvation-need larger jets, aftermarket fuel petcock, etc.? Or other ideas? I balanced the carbs, cleaned filter, adjusted float height.
Thanks

If that is the K&N in the airbox go up one size on the pilot (to 40), add one washer under the clip on the needle and go up at least one or two more sizes on the main jet (to 132.5) . If it is pod filters, several of us have ended up in the 145 ~ 150 range. There is a jetting matrix somewhere on the board - do a search.
Is it a running out of gas type feeling... that is lean... You may not go up to 132.5... 127.5 should be enough... but 40 pilots and 1-2 washers under needle (for a 1/2 to 1 mm lift) and make sure float level is set correctly - top of float bowl and no more. There is a thread about this with some pictures etc... posted by Kerry... or just go to his site and see...
Cool.

The page on my site is at
http://www.bbburma.net/FloatHeight.htmJohn has also created an official
GStwin.com "How To" version of the page at
http://www.gstwin.com/float_height_check.htm, but the larger versions of the images aren't hooked up. (?)
