What do you guys use if anything?
At home my bike is normally in the garage and never left on the street but there will be times where i'll be over people's houses and maybe wasted, so most likely will not ride home.
What should i get...
A harley at my friend's place that i visit a lot, they normally have a long bike cable and chain it up to a street sign post. I think he also have a brake disc lock.
I know if someone wants your bike they will take it. 2 guys can pick that up in 2 minutes with bolt cutters and put it in their pickup. Just something for peice of mind. I have insurance and all but still ya know. I'm in chicago, everything gets stolen, broken or damaged.
LO JACK......AT LEAST YOULL GET IT BACK
I park next to Gixxers :icon_lol:

An account with the Cab company.
If you are consciously and knowingly going out to get Wasted with pre-thought and pre-determination, I think you should catch a cab to your wasted destination instead.

I got LowJack get a discount on your insurance :whisper:! I have a disc lock somewhere! Currently, Flick is still at work while I'm in the hospital. There are perks to working security though I know it is being watched!

Lojack will get it back a little faster. Honestly if my bike was stolen I don't think I want it back. Bike locks, chains and whatever else can make the theif look eslewhere for as easier target.
Plus I'm thinking of riding to work and parking in the lot.
throttle locks exist but not exactly sure how effective they are to be honest.
I have an xena XX14, it's a disc brake lock with an integrated sensor triggered alarm.
I rarely park it on the street, but when I know I'll have to for more than a few minutes, I take the lock along.
Edit: Oh, this is relevant here, this model only fits on the rear disc of my GS500.

I have a Xena XX10, but it goes off even when it's not locked or on the bike. I've removed the alarm and am using it as a regular disc lock now. I also use this chain/padlock. http://www.amazon.com/Master-Lock-8293DPS-Street-4-Foot/dp/B000XU86KS
A piece of chewing gum muffles most disc lock alarms pretty easily.

Just turn the fork and lock the front end. I doubt anyone would go to the trouble of stealing a GS. If you're really concerned about it, and know you're gonna leave it there overnight, etc, just take the battery out. Thirty second job and the thing won't be going anywhere without it.
taking the battery doesn't do anything with 2 guys and a pickup truck.
In all honesty i dont think a GS is a hot item at all but then again most civics/accords around me that get stolen aren't exactly prize winning show cars.
I always lock my fork. But i guess i'll just try to park it next to gixxers and etc. I'll get a small chain like the one above for peice of mind.

A disc lock, and not getting wasted, so you can ride home. Perhaps new friends, if there's nothing better to do with them than get wasted. On the whole, riding home is a hell of a lot more fun than getting wasted - and if it isn't, you're wasting a lot of money on motorcycles and gear that you could be spending on Milwaulkee's Best or MD 20/20 or whatever and train fare/taxis.
