Title: F model Headlight mod
Post by: 4strings on April 28, 2011, 12:23:06 AM
So I know there is a thread here somewhere that has an F model headlight that someone put led's in the two upper "wings" on each side.  Its late and I've tried the search.  Can anyone help me find it?  I believe it was able to changed colors based on an external control unit.

Thanks!

lol, wasn't me.  Looks like it was waiho but I like that idea and I think I'm going to run with it except w/ stock lights instead of the HID.

i did it with the stock head light and it looks good but not like the hid light .. the place i got the angle eyes is superbrightleds.com and it was like 18 bucks shipped ..but like i said it is not as good looking as his is ... and the one i got wAS the 100 mm any smaller and it would look odd ..

Oh cool!  I'm looking at putting the LED's in the stock F model and getting the light on my naked E.  I was thinking of doing amber on the upper "wings" to the right and left hooked up to the directionals, and a strip of RGB along the inside.  Just where it turns from the clear lens to the sidewall that is still attached to the clear lens when the light assembly is detached from the lens to do all this fun stuff.
