so i poured through here tryna figure out whats up with my bikes clutch slipping....mostly found that besides a bad clutch it could be adjustments with the cable or any oil that has "Friction Modifiers" or "Energy Conservation Formula"...so i went to my oil bottle of castrol 4t 10-40 motorcycle oil and read every word on the bottle....mine says none of those but it does say it protects against viscosity and thermal breakdown....basically friction modifier in different words.. :cookoo:...ssooo im gonna adjust the cables and change the oil to something without the bad stuff and see what happens ...
Viscosity is a measure of the resistance of a fluid which is being deformed by either shear stress or tensile stress. In everyday terms (and for fluids only), viscosity is "thickness" or "internal friction". Thus, water is "thin", having a lower viscosity, while honey is "thick", having a higher viscosity. Put simply, the less viscous the fluid is, the greater its ease of movement (fluidity).therefor affecting the friction
nah the oil isn't the problem, it would say energy conserving on the seal

you need to check the primary clutch adjustment by the sprocket but probably need buy a new clutch
And if you need to buy a new clutch, i've got new plates and springs and a gasket here with your name on it!
I bought em and turns out i DONT need to do a plate swap. go figure.
An F3 I built for my buddy I put the cheap rotella in and I like how the clutch feels compared to my F2.3 that I put actual motorcycle oil in. Or maybe I need a new clutch,..... :dunno_white:
"It's not a TOOMA"
Make sure your rough adjustment (down at the clutch push rod) has the 1/4-1/2 turn free play before you worry about free play at the lever
It's located behind the small cover with the two screws
