Title: Sponsored Ride
Post by: Villager on April 30, 2011, 09:03:39 AM
Howdy, folks. My brother and his friend have decided to do a sponsored ride from Land's End to John O'Groats in July, to raise money for St Michael's hospice in Basingstoke. I'm going to join on the trip  and am trying to help out with sponsorship too. It's a really good cause for anyone who wants to support the effort. They provide care and support for people who are terminally ill, and respite for families, but face having to drastically reduce their services due to cuts in government funding. Luke's job involves carrying out maintenance in their premises and he has witnessed first hand the value of the work they do. Their website is here:

The link to the JustGiving page is below for anyone who wants to help out, even if it's just a couple of quid.

Thanks for reading,

Dean

p.s.... if anyone wants to tag along, we're planning to start on Saturday 23rd July. More the merrier!
