Title: Oil leak, Clutch Pushrod seal
Post by: flank on May 02, 2011, 10:52:36 PM
Hello all !
Here comes the nweb question !!  :dunno_white:  :dunno_white:

My bike (2004 GS, +/-26,000Miles)  has been leaking oil (not much) on the left side for a while ....

I think it is coming from the clutch pushrod oil seal (#21).

After looking at the manual and this image: http://houseofmotorcycles.bikebandit.com/partsbandit/assets/schematics/Suzuki/SU0083_016.gif
I know I have to take away the sprocket, the retainer plate (#22) but HOW ?! More precisely how is the bold (#23) suppose to go off  :icon_question:
It looks blocked by the retainer plate or am I missing something !?

I have this same problem on my 95 but it's worse then a little bit. Every time I stop I get about a silver dollar sized puddle on the ground. Have you had any luck on figuring this out?

first question is....your kidding?

remove the sprocket and chain in front of the cover so you can remove the cover
2 bolts
carefully pry out the seal
reinstall.....everything
check for leak
