I'm wondering if anyone has any info about how to perform throttle valve synchronization on 2009 GS500F (E33 – California model). This service should be performed on every GS with mikuni BSR34 carbs manufactured on/after 2004(?). I have original suzuki factory service manual for this bike (part number 99500-34097-03E) and cannot find a word on it about how to perform this freaking synchronization.
Any help is greatly appreciated!

I would love to, but my carbs look a bit different

At the second pic of the wiki you can see a hose (on the left) remove that and you should see a nipple O0
On the other carb, in the same place there should be a cover, remove that too. Those are the two places you should connect the sync gauges.
Remember to set the fuel chicken to prime or else you will run out of fuel in a few minutes (the hose on the first nipple opens by vacuum the fuel flow valve)

Found a nipple, thank you. I was confused by number of different vacuum hoses. Any changes in procedure on this model? I assume no.. will try tonight.
Well.. it should be done as on older models.
Warm up, then use the idle screw to set the appropriate rpm (2.5K ??? ) and sync!
Good luck! :thumb:
Here is the location of the two vacuum ports...

I don't "sync" my carbs that way.I open my carb's butter flies all the way and wire(zip) tie the throttle wide open. Then I measure between the buttey fly and carb throat.I makes these two settings the same with screw located on the trottle arm in the center. Then I check my settings with a monometer made like the yard stick one in the wiki.
