Title: Bike Re-build
Post by: rock_rebel on May 06, 2011, 04:53:23 PM
I haven't been on this board at all over the winter because my bike was still in storage and I didn't have any of the required parts for it. To recite the past I was in a collision with an SUV that T-boned me on a straight road. I have the bike in my possession again and  have removed all the broken parts. Here are some pics of my initial cleanup:

I've removed the old headlight completely and the broken ignition case, and pulse generator. You can't see it in this pic but I've also removed the bent rear brake lever and will be getting a replacement.

Front all cleaned up and broken wires removed.

Rear tire is completely worn out. I think this contributed to some of the minor spills I've had recently. Anyway I've learned my lesson and this tire will be replaced before I get on the bike again.

Headlight and frame which I may sell in the future.

I'm still far away from getting the bike working again. Hopefully I'll still have a few riding days left this year.
