Title: Where does this hose go?

I worked on the carbs and can't figure out where this goes.  Thasnks!

breather for the floats, just make sure its unobstructed and put away somewhere safe. 


Correct gs guru's?

That's correct; it doesn't connect to anything. Stock, it's run over the airbox, and tucked between the battery tray and the trailing edge of the airbox.

Also who's the engineer who thought it was a good idea to use phillips head screws on the petcocks and other parts of the carbourater?  ugh

Ha! You'd be about 123% happier if the engineer had used phillips. What you have there is JIS which looks just like phillips but will strip to all hell if you use a phillips screwdriver.
