Title: Removing throttle n clutch assembly for install on new bars...
Post by: Pelikan on May 07, 2011, 08:23:07 PM
Getting new bars.  Does the throttle and clutch assemblies just bolt off and right back on, or is it more complicated than this?

Yep easy off and back on.

If they're oem bars, yeah. After market like super bike bars, almost. The assemblies have little stubs that go in holes on bar. You either have to drill the new bars (pain in the...) or grind/cut off the stubs (easy). Removing the stubs isn't really a problem though as the stuff doesn't rotate if it's tightened up. I ground mine down and didn't have a problem.
