I have been looking up different style of pegs and what not for my gs500, but I was wondering if anyone knew some good, quick, easy to instal pegs that would move the originals down and forward a little.
Down and forward??
Don't you mean up and back? ;)
I don't think there are any replacement pegs like what you're looking for. I've only found one plac that even makes pegs fir the GS and they're opposite of what you're looking for. Prolly a custom job if you want them moved that way.
FYI: Haven't seen anything that moves pegs down and forward. As for up and back, here is a photo with the stock mount then the Raask rear set mount and last the Gimbel.
The Raask is about 3" farther (further?) up and back from stock. Gimbel is an additional 1.25" up & back.

You can see the "U" mount for the stock peg (or the LSL replacement pegs) then on the left you can see the mounting holes for the peg on the Raask and the Gimbel. The holes on the right are the mounting screws. The hole in the lower center is for the brake pedal on the stock and the Raask. Gimbel mounts the brake lever to the peg.
Someone here mounted something to move pegs down... electrojake, maybe?
In the Wiki there is something for putting on pegs that are less bulky than stock to move your foot position down a bit.
There's a wiki on how to install the rear pegs for the GSXR 600 as front pegs for the GS:
http://wiki.gstwins.com/index.php?n=Upgrades.Pegs
They're supposed to give you about an extra inch of legroom, since they don't have all the rubber of the stock pegs. I just ordered a pair of these ($15 on eBay), will be installing soon.

But I couldn't find one specific for the GS500 anymore...
Actually yes, sorry everyone i went back and tried the up and back style and that would be alot better. So if you know of some quick ways to adjust please let me know. Also the wiki pegs look like shaZam! in my opinion so I won't be trying those, same with the gsxr's
