Post by: brad7817 on May 09, 2011, 06:06:35 AM
For a 04' GS500F with 9,500 miles. Stock except jetted and DIY timing advance. Minor scratches on bike???

Just exploring my options..  :icon_confused:

Dealer blue book is around $2300, and since the mileage is pretty low but the fairing is scratched that's probably a fair starting point. You may get talked down a bit, I'd offer $1800 and work from there.

I just bought my 04 gs500 for 2300 and it had 6500 miles and no scratches , but even if it did have a couple little scatches I would have paid that . I think it was a good deal .

I think the blue book price is pretty fair, just go for best offer from there but I wouldn't go far below 2k.
