I have used both. The Clymer has way better details and spec lists for the bike.Torque specs on our bikes are key to engine life and longevity. The Clymer ISBN is 0-89287-833-9.I did an advanced google search of the books ISBN,and came up with a new one in a little private own book shop for $15.I know they were happy to get the business, and rid of a book they'd probably never sell otherwise.

On a related note, I have a 2009 and I see that the Clymer manuals only go up to 2002.  How different are the bikes? Would purchasing a book for 2002 model help me with my 2009?

Everything should be the same except for the emissions stuff added to the carbs and the ignition box.
