Title: Carb Cleaner

This is my first GS500 and was wondering if you can buy carb cleaner that you put in the gas ?

You can buy it.  I found some at walmart.  I tried in a really old yamaha but the enrichment circuits were the problem so there was no effect.  It may also be marketed as fuel injector cleaner or both.  probably one of the easiest things to try, thats why I did it with the yamaha.  I don't think it was too expensive and probably won't hurt anything.  Others may correct me as there may be some rubber parts that could be sensitive or something.

Startron helps but if the jets are clogged you need to pull the carbs and clean them.
