Title: LP Flushmount Marker Light Installation
Post by: eero on May 11, 2011, 10:19:53 AM
Hello all,

bought some Lockhart Phillips flush mount marker lights from a local shop. They come with hardware along with some adhesive. I don't want to drill into my fairing, I just want to put them over the existing front turn signal hole, however the adhesive won't stick because it would have nothing to stick to because it would be placed over the pre existing hole in the fairing. I've seen these put on someone elses gs500f but didn't see any threads on how they installed them. Has anyone installed without drilling? If no one has any advice, i will just end up ghetto fabbing something to make it work with drilling.

When I installed mine I had to do some drilling to mount them and grinding to get the angle right. I don't think they would look right w/o reshaping the mounting area.

I have an idea on what I'm going to do, it wont require drilling into the frame or grinding. Ill let you know how it goes.
