Title: Yoshi exhaust without rejetting??
Post by: dougwo on May 12, 2011, 02:02:29 AM
Okay, I've had 3 different GS500 in the past 5 years. I figured trading up cost just as much as changing tires and oil  :cookoo:. First one was a 92' stock, then a 02' with K&N filter and V&H pipe, now I just got a 2009 GS500F.
Long story short, all I want is my 2009 to sound a little better, I didn't really care for the little performance and all the fiddling I had to go thru with filter and re-jetting on my 2002.
My question is: Can I just put a Yoshi slip-on with stock filter without re-jetting?

I know this is an old question but I couldn't find a clear answer. Any input is appreciated!

When you change the flow of an engine, the air fuel ratio changes. If this isn't kept in check, then running issues crop up and engine damage sets in.The worst thing is burnt valves or piston. Are you sure you wanna risk not rejetting? It's not hard to do and it's fairly cheap considering the exhaust upgrade price.
