Title: Moving on
Post by: ttpakasnipe on May 14, 2011, 06:38:56 AM
It was great having my GS for almost have a year, but I have now traded it in and gotten a bike I feel more comfortable on.

Thanks everyone for everything, this is a great community and has been very helpful

The number of members here that don't have GS500's (or bikes at all) is fascinating. (http://www.s0lidgr0und.org/images/smilies/smiley-WTF.gif)
Just sayin'

I don't have my GS anymore either. I'm not on here as much as I used to but I usually still make it here daily.

I am curious. what exactly makes you more "comfortable" on a gixxer? I've ridden a few enough to know they are painful. I don't know if the gs was your first bike or not. But, if it is less than a year? Maybe I'm getting old but Flick and I have our 4 year anniversary this month and with the exception of the carbs right now we are still in love.

Well, I don't know, I just feel more "at home" with it? The GS was my first bike, I had it for 8 months. I rode it everyday rain or shine. I guess I just wanted something with a little more "Umph."

BTW, I wear full gear every time I ride, no matter what the temperature, so I'm not one of THOSE guys. :)
