Title: New cause of hoovering idle after warm up.
Post by: ben2go on May 20, 2011, 08:49:01 PM
While I was bench tuning my bike, the idle would hang up when the engine was warm, and the choke was off. After scratching my head and triple checking my carbs,I found that one of my choke valves was sticking open slightly.Just enough to cause a high idle, but not enough to really be visable.Just by luck,I pushed the choke rod over on the carbs.Presto!Perfect idle. Now I am trying to decide if I need to replace my choke valves as nothing seems to stop them from sticking ever so slightly.I tried disassembling and cleaning.A shot of WD-40.Nothing seems to keep them from sticking.
