I have some dominators on my GS. My battery died the other day and I am replacing it with a new one tommorrow morning.
I have been charging my battery for temporary use and I noticed tonight when ridding my headlight was dimming when I was coming to a stop and lighting up apon acceleration.
I hope this problem will be fixed tommorrow with my battery because my bike is really new.
Is there any other electrical problem this could be?
some dipping is normal with the throttle
id say cause your battery is fubar its more noticeable
Should be fixed if you get a new battery. The faster the engine is spinning, the more electricity it creates so when it drops to idle you'll notice the light going down. You'll really notice it on old bikes that don't even have a battery.
If your bike is new did you try to get the battery replaced under warranty?
Lights that shine brighter or dim depending on engine RPM could simply be a sign you need to put more distilled water in your battery - you did check the level, didn't you?

I have Dominator twin headlights on my GS too and it does the same. Just remember a twin headlight will draw more power than a single in most cases.
Thanks everybody.
Anyone have experience on what relay to buy to get the dominator high beams to work?
It should work off the OEM Suzuki relay. Bear in mind that the high beam isn't that great on the Dominators. But then again neither is it much chop on the stock headlight.
Are the dominator lights legal in QLD? As I am thinking of doing this mod as a part of my rebuild.
Is the light from them better both high and low beams or about the same?
Cause they look good on the GS.
why is there an extra set of like 4 wires and a plug on the dominators? everything seems to work without it

I think that is for the park light.

I would say the low beam is better on the Dominators especially if you put better bulbs in but the high beam is probably worse than the stock light. I am in QLD and use them and I have seen a few bikes with them installed.
Is there a headlight relay on Australian GSs?

I beg to differ. When set up correctly, the stock headlight illuminates pretty well. With the emphasis on "when set up correctly".

I have an E model with the stock headlight and a motorcycle spec Sylvian Silver Star bulb.It is a real good upgrade.Dunno if they still make that bulb for MCs.Probably something better now.
You could always up your idle a little to compensate for the dual headlights?
