Title: My Son is ready to upgrade!! Need a little help!
Post by: whttnbrg on May 25, 2011, 07:57:05 PM
He has been drooling on my GS for long enough. He is looking for a good GS500. I need to be able to get it for around $1500, and not have to drive cross country to get it. I dont mind about 6 hours 1 way to meet someone if possible. If you can help the boy out I would love to add him the GSTwins family!!

Yeah, New Orleans is a good Geographic locale that everyone recognizes. If I said I was in St. Bernard...... Maybe not so much. He has about $1800 dollars. Send me info on what you have.

The guy admits it has issue idling... so you can probably talk to down $1500 if not a bit closer to $1000.

Not sure if a semi flashy cruiser is your style... but the Shadow is pretty good and that is a great starting price to start negotiations on.

Depending on what he means by "seller signed title in wrong spot", you might be able to get it for a lot less... maybe $1000. LA DMV would care less.

Unless he priced it super high to discourage low ballers, that is a stupid high price for a 750 hawk... i'd start at $1000

Possibly a sub $1000 bargain.

Hope that helps.

Well, His search is over. We went bike shopping over the weekend, and he talked me into selling him my bike . While we were looking around, I found a nice 93 Nighthawk that I picked up for $1200. That made me selling him the GS a bit easier. Since I am on the hook for his loan as a co-signer :cookoo:, the GS will stay in my name for at least 18 months :police:
