Title: Removing headlamp glass
Post by: error on May 26, 2011, 01:21:08 PM
I cracked the glass on my headlamp and was able to find another headlamp but it's off an earlier model gs and the mounts aren't there. Can I bake my headlamp, say 200 degrees for 20 minutes, remove the glass part and use adhesive silicone to attach the new glass?

I dont know about the time, but when I got my GS, I needed the glass lens from the headlight, so I bought a light housing from eBay, baked it and took its lens and used some clear epoxy to affix it to the stock housing. Has worked great for the 2500 miles that I have had it on.
