So the other day I was pulling out of the doctor's office backing up and hadn't realized my kickstand was down and was in N. I didn't see how close the curb was to me the back tire hit the curb and messed with my balance some. I felt my boot hit up against something and looked down to find my kickstand penetrating my boot :o I'm quite sure if I had tennis shoes on I would be telling a different story.

Glad you were wearing them, Mary. I myself have set my kickstand on my boot a couple of times. Most potentially embarrassing is while taking a big bike of the center stand. Having your foot under the kickstand will tend to make the bike want to fall away from you...
Geesh you have some bad luck. We will have to start calling you Hurricane Mary with all the disaster and chaos in your life. You gonna replace them boots now or leave them self ventilated?
Right now I'm wearing my High Tecs from the EMT days. Not quite as good as my Frank Thomas but that area well the kickstand has not gone away so well with my luck it would probably find that spot and try to get me again.
Murphy's law if it can happen it will happen to me! So, I usually double and triple prepare. See turkey baster story to see what happens when I don't!

I would take it to a boot repair place; if you like the boots.
A new [thick] piece of leather sewn over it and back in business. Should cost only a fraction of a new pair of boots.
Yeah, if they were semi-new I would go through and do that but the soles are pretty worn as well. $89 to replace those now with the hole I'll wait till cyclegear has their sale again and pick up a good pair.

I've said it before and I'll say it again - laces have NO PLACE on motorcycle boots.

i used to think that way but the laces are tucked away. I have not had one issue with them catching
