Title: Headlight Angle
Post by: Twism86 on May 31, 2011, 05:54:47 AM
So after a terrifying ride down the highway the other night I realized my headlight on my 02' E (bucket) is aimed too high.

When pointing at a wall where about should the light hit? Mine was aiming higher then the light . I ride 99% in the day so after mounting the new one months ago I never used it in the dark until the other night.

i used wiki's measurements (http://cgi.stanford.edu/~sanjayd/gs500/Maintenance/AimHeadlight):

1- park bike 17 feet from wall/flat surface
2- with rider on bike measure to center of headlight
3- put a mark on the wall 2 inches below center of light(i used some tape)
4- line the top line of your low beam with mark on wall
