Title: Need a place to park on Edisto Is. SC
Post by: Paulcet on May 31, 2011, 06:55:12 AM
My wife and kids are spending the week at Wyndham Ocean Ridge. I am going to ride up there this weekend, but they don't want motorcycles on their property!  >:(

Anyone here know where I could leave my bike for a couple of days?

tell them you are a paying customer, and can take your business elsewhere if that is their wish. or if there is a lot across street where you can park it. perhaps a bike friendly business nearby where you can maybe pay them a lil bit, to allow overnight parking? i had reservations at a hotel recently. but wouldnt allow me in since i no longer drive. and only rode my motorised bicycle. they wouldnt allow it. wouldt allow walkup either. so i ask to speak to gen mgr. and voiced my displeasure. and cancelled my reservations and complained to corporate. they send me free nigth coupons etc. still sitting on my desk. they ask when i will be using them. i tell them im not allowed to. theyre like why? i said per your GM, unless i drive a car i cannot be a guest there. so i cannot use these. ( and i get another one lol) i may ebay them or someshit

I ended up calling the front desk asking where I should park. The woman said I could park in their lot at reception. So I did and walked over to the security guard, telling him that Lizzie said I could park it on their lot, but couldn't ride into the resort. He was very nice and even suggested a better spot over in the corner. He also said that they often have to turn people away who ride up on bikes.

Spent Saturday afternoon at the pool with the kids. Well worth the ride.
