Title: Replacing Clutch Cover??
Post by: GSProdigy on June 03, 2011, 02:41:33 AM
I recently ordered the following to replace my oil scarred clutch cover and contact breaker

Suzuki - COVER, CLUTCH

Suzuki - COVER, CONTACT BREAKER

Suzuki - GASKET, COVER CLUTCH

Suzuki - EMBELM, COVER CLUTCH

Anything specific I need to know when replacing these items? Any tips? I am assuming it is pretty straight forward. Are there any sealants or chemicals I need?

Thanks

You got everything.Do not use sealant on the gaskets. It will plug the oil ports in the engine side cover and some will find it's way into the oil sump.I use a very small drop of blue loctite on the bolts because they do not get tightened very much. The case threads will strip out or the bolts will break if they are tighten down to tight.
