Title: WTB: Working Engine close to Tennessee/Kentucky
Post by: breaker950 on June 22, 2011, 11:10:24 AM
My motor finally seized after trying to fix it and not its time to replace the motor. If anyone has one nearby I would love to pick up a new engine and get back on the roads.
I live at 37040 and am looking for a known working engine, I may be convinced to travel a bit to get one if I need to.

I have the engine out of my 97. I bought it with 12,600 miles on it, and it had 43,400 on the engine when I parked it last fall due to carb problems. I'd like to get it out of my garage, so $200 will buy it. Cleveland OH is probably further than you want to go, but I have a pallet I can put it on if you arrange shipping. The Forward Air freight terminal is 5 - 10 minutes from work, but I can get it to any freight company that has a Cleveland terminal. If you want to meet me part way between us, all I ask is gas money. I could meet you just south of Cincinnati for $100.

That seems like a reasonable price, but for the distance I don't know if the extra I would spend getting it would really be worth that. Worst case scenario, if I cant get an engine, I may be parting this bike out. :(

Fedex Ground will ship up to 150 pounds . Sturdy box well packaged ---will probably run right around $100 ( if you drop it off at a Fed Ex ground terminal ) to ship. Pick a box just a little larger than you need and pad it out well...
