Title: Should this be replaced?
Post by: CndnMax on June 24, 2011, 06:34:37 PM
The viewing window of my front Brake Master Cylinder is flaking off on the sides ( see picture). should i replace the entire thing, add some glue, or just leave it?  :dunno_black:

Keep a very close eye on it though before you ride. Make it one of your things to check when starting the bike.

No leaks yet, but a little glue shouldnt hurt right? Want to prevent what happened in  that one post where the guy found brake fluid all over his bike when the window came out.

If it starts to leak at all, it will probably dissolve any glue you put on it.

Maybe not replace it ASAP, but be on the lookout for a new one.
