I have black primer, I can use,
what color paint to get, anyone know the dulpicolor color name that matches the frame.
thnx
Just do the best you can to match it up. As far as I know there is no *exact* matching spray bomb but some metalic gray xans are close enough.
I recommend you scuff up the plastic guard with 400 grit for better adhesion. Also I don't think I would use primer, I personally would just use paint.
yep 400 size grit, i used the 2 layers of clear primer for plastic and then 2 layers of silver paint, i like the result
I have pics, but i can't post them, haven't got a webpage either
I found some paint at the local Auto Zone. I'll look at the can tonight when I get home.
I was a very close color to my 89' silver frame. I used it to paint some welds on another members bike. Couldn't tell where the old paint ended and the new paint started. It was dulpicolor paint.
I also used this paint on my chain gaurd. I just cleaned it real good with paint thinner, let it dry and painted it. I thinks it turned out great!

do a search for "Frame paint" or search through Chimivee's posts because he posted a picture of the Duplicolor can and info on what color he used on his 98(?) frame. I've seen it in person and like Paul said, can't tell where touch up was done on his either.
I looked at the can. Sorry, I must have thrown the cap away. But, I bought it because of the cap color. Check the post Pablo recomends and look at all the colors at the store. AutoZone was the place. The right one should jump out at you.

ok thanks guys I'll post pics when I have spare time to do it
