So I recently picked up a rusted used tank, went through the process of cleaning it with acid's and then sealing it with POR15. Everything was fine and dandy until this morning. I got out and on the side, right where the old one had a hole, this one has a little pin hole and it's surrounded by white gel, but also is slowly dripping gas. (And the pinhole in the bottom of the tank I was aware of when it was being sealed is totally fine! It's weird though, the one in the bottom was there when it was sealed so some of the POR 15 came out of it. But there is no sealer in this one and I never saw it, it's a freakin brand new pin hole...HOW?
So frustrating, I did everything perfectly, dried the tank for 3 days before using sealant, and let the sealant sit in the tank for 5 days with a fan blowing through it.
Had my first 200 mile ride planned with friends and everything, looks like I'll be going cager today...FML
Anyway just had to rant off a little bit, hope everyone has an awesome 4th!
