I am currently working on drawing up a prototype mounting bracket in Solidworks and will get some screen shots posted when I get to finishing up the drawing. Unfortunately I have to use a work computer so I have to use my free time to get it done here at work and it may take a week or so.

This is the multiview shot of the GSX-R 600 Bracket replicated in Solidworks. Now I just gotta find the angle and spacing on the GS bracket and port it onto this.

Design allows for stock footpeg positioning as well a additional holes.

Nevermind, the guy completely screwed up the top hole. Its not even close to where it should be. Im not exactly sure what drawing they were looking at

Over layed the previous two images to see how the pegs lined up. It looks as if the GSXR peg is about 3/16" lower than the OEM peg at the highest points.

One other problem I ran into was that when the footpeg was in the current position, it blocks the bottom bolt that mounts the plate to the frame from fitting into place so I have to slide them all back to make clearance.

The plate that the GSXR rear set is attached to in this photo should be eliminated.Adding that bracket on top of another bracket will space out the rearsets and possibly limit lean angle.JMO

That plate is being replaced. the plan is to get rid of that plate and use a new plate that has the same mounting holes for the rearset itself and then mount to the GS holes in the frame. The new foot peg will stick out no farther then the stock one, but with the top of the peg at the same height at the stock one, will allow for more "ground clearance"
I am currently waiting to here back from the machine shop to go pick up a prototype of the plate done up in plastic to make sure the foot positioning is correct. If i test fit and it looks good, then this will move forward.

The prototype should be done today, assuming the shop had time to get it done.
Received a new prototype today, this time made out of plastic so I could cut the profile and it fits good, Now im gunna take before and after pictures of the the new footpegs to make sure they are lined up right. It felt pretty damn close when I put my feet on the gsx peg on one side and the stock peg on the other.

FYI, I currently have both the left and the right rearset from the GSXR. My right peg came with all the brake equipment except for the rear caliper. so the reservoir, master cylinder, rear brake light switch, and lines are all there. It appears that the GS500 Master Cylinder is a direct swap onto the GSXR sets if needed and the brake light switches are identical as far as I can tell(except for the plug used to connect to the wiring on the bike). I will verify this but it looks positive. The only problem is that the springs used to attach the brake pedal to the switch are different. I can take some side by side pictures for everyones reference.

You're making some amazing progress on this project! I haven't been following the projects forum... was really cool to see it in here. :)
Yea its going good so far. I just gotta see if I can get some time on the cad computer to get a final design done.
I would love to snap it on my GS500.
