Its for a sportster 1200.
I Know from seeing them first hand, their a larger diameter, so better airflow, plus itll be kinda quiet, and I dont think itll look too bad. If anyone cares to photoshop it for me, ill leave you rep!
Buddha, think I may start a new fad, or an epic flop?

my friend had a similar cruiser pipe on his gs500f before. it didn't sound too bad actually.

Thats promising. Im more looking for increased flow without a lot of noise, need to gain the only 2 available hp that there is to gain w/ jetting, air filter, ignition advance, and freer flowing exhaust
Was there no reserve on this auction? And the seller's only about an hour south of me, fun stuff.
Depending on the year that it came off of,it may have a catalytic converter inside. It is for sure a chambered muffler.Think OEM car muffler but small, round, and chrome.Just remember, an HD may have more displacement but it is a lower reving engine and may not flow as much CFM as the GS at higher RPMs.
Apparently its a lower 2000's, and from the hd forums, its just a glasspack with internal baffles.
Most common mod is to drill them out.

Cool.If it is really a glass pack then you will be able to see through it.Glass packs are flow through mufflers with no restrictions. If you can't see through it,then it's chambered.
This is how glass packs are designed.

This is how most OE muffler are designed. They do have glass packing but are not glass packs.

It looks like that first glasspack, cept with a wall in the middle of the pipe.
Seems like on the harley forums, a very popular mod is to cut out that wall with a 1.5 inch hole saw, to make it a true glass pack.
Either way, it will flow more then the stock can!
wow can i just cut the gs stock exhaust, modify the internals, and weld it back up? hmmmm
That is a standard mod for a savage, on a gs not only will it work just fine, it will also look like trash - :flipoff: ...
You can core the muffler with a holesaw and get it de baffled, which on a savage well makes it sound like a harley with one cyl removed ... which a savage is. On a GS it is likely to sound like a peashooter.
Cool.

Just depends on how big it is; I can't really tell from the pic on ebay. I'd do it! But I'll use anything if it works and looks interesting,....
So what I gather is it will work just fine for what im going for, and the looks will be unique.
May be awesome, or may be terrible, or maybe just...off...
We'll see, least im not out a lot of cash, and if it looks cool and works, we may have a new upgrade path on our hands!!
Prices for stock harley mufflers will SKYROCKET!!!! BWAHAHAHAHA!!!!
Can't wait to see pics of it installed!
Pics and vids please :)

It already has. From a negative $5 (cost to take it to the dump) to a +1. That is like over an infinite percentage gain ...
Cool.
Buddha.
ZOMG!
