Title: Jardine exhaust with stock air box/filter ???
Post by: dam on July 18, 2011, 10:29:18 PM
So I've searched and read and checked the Wiki. Still don't know what to make of it all :icon_confused: With a 2009 GS500F all stock. What would you recommend if I were to change only the exhaust to a Jardine RT1 with their QMI (quiet module insert)?

Not quite sure what you're asking. If you're asking about jetting, save the exhaust for when you upgrade the air filter. Then rejet once and be done.

Dam: With just pipe - run 20 pilots, 132.5 mains, 1 washer under needle. That actually is the same as what we mod the stock bike to, yea a stock bike is jetted just a hair leaner than it needs to be happy. Anyway I sell a jet pack for the setup you'd use, which costs - $25 shipped in US, $27 anywhere in the world.

Ben2go: - He never mentioned a filter, he just wanted to jet it with pipe and quiet insert. You dont have to do filter just pipe is fine.

Cool.

That's what I was asking. Just the exhaust, no change from stock filter.
