Title: Quick Carb Question
Post by: cosmiccharlie on July 27, 2011, 05:28:43 PM
Does the spring on top of the float needle "hang" over the float tab?  See picture below.  Can't find my Clymer and haven't had any luck searching the forum.   :dunno_black:

Thanks!  Cleaned the varnish out of the carbs today.  Maybe I'll have it running tomorrow!   :thumb:

Ok, one more question.

The top breather located between the carbs....Does it need to be plumbed to a filter?

That is the vent.It is not filtered from the factory and has a hose that runs down under the bike from the factory.I don't think it would hurt to install one.Put some where easy to get to and if it causes a problem, just pop it off.
