Title: Recoating the inside of the gas tank
Post by: numus on August 10, 2011, 10:58:39 AM
So i am going to be taking the tank off in a week or so to repaint it with the final paint job.. Is it worth it to go ahead and redo the coating at the bottom of the tank (it is rust city now)?
If so what product is worth it and how do you stop it from clogging the fuel line ports?

I just used caswell on my tank.  I read all the threads here and over at customfighters.com and decided on it based on numerous reviews.  Seems like it worked well, but only time will tell.

I see more positive comments on POR-15 and Caswell than any other product.IMHO,it all comes down to proper prep. Some coatings need more prep, some less.
