Title: Pelican 1550 top case - Custom Build
Post by: tucsondog on August 10, 2011, 01:27:30 PM
So I finally have some time to plan out and build a custom top-case mount for a Pelican 1550 case. I will be taking tons of pictures of before, during, and after.
I will make a rough sketch with measurements, then make a full size draft.
From there, I'll make a cardboard mock up taking pics as I go.
Once the bugs are worked out, then the full on metal frame will be constructed, tested, etc...
Then it's off to the moving-box paint booth and photo shoot!
Why bother you may ask?
Why not?

Well looking forward to seeing the final result... I was thinking of using one of these tail racks (http://www.twistedthrottle.com/trade/productview/238/101/).  hope you finished it, post some picks soon?

Alas, this project will not happen for some time... Long story short, I crashed, and now have no bike for a while... However... I will definitely continue with the rack as planned if/when I get another gs500f
