*************IMAGE WARNING!!!!!!************
I'M NOT JOKING, THIS IS REALLY DISGUSTING.
http://www.ogrish.com/view_attachment.php?id=835
YOU MIGHT VOMIT WHEN YOU SEE IT -it shows splattered organs and limbs. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED
armor?
edited by JeffD to add the warning. Re-edited by john to strengthen the warning.
Man you should warn people that it's a nasty pic of someone's remains after a motorcycle accident...
That kind of thing doesn't phase me but it will really bother some people...
Heads up everyone it's pretty nasty...
yuck!
Probably a guard rail or head on into another car at high speed...
I'm going riding this afternoon, so I'm not even looking
Seriously, you need to warm people about the content!!!
I hate seeing shaZam! like this..
sorry guys about not having a warning. but you know, that could be you , or me
i thought it was strange seeing someone decked out in full racing protection and having it shred to pieces like it was nothing.
A friend of mine is a firefighter and told me that those guard-rails on the side of the road or hwy will shread you to piece if you run into them at highspeed. seems like something like that happened to this guy.. Sucks, be careful outthere
I probably should just delete this thread. What do you think?
It is rather gory john, but you have to think that alot of time people do not think about things like this happening to them. It helps remind us all that we are not indestructable, and that if not careful this could happen to any of us. Being careful is the main thing even with cagers out there. I know that when I am driving my truck around I still watch for motorcyclist, it has become a habit. It sucks that things like this can happen but shaZam! does happen and this might help make people more aware of the reality of a bad accident.
John - Nuke it.
It's almost too gruesome to be real.
Only seeing corpses on tv and in movies, you don't really know what something like that really looks like.
........
John, how about adding an "i'm gonna puke" emoticon. seems appropriate for this thread.
peace
delete it.
:x :x :x whoa, wont look at that one again, :nono: :o , perhaps deleting this, or creating a sub section/folder for things like this. gory as it may be, 1 he probably didnt feel a thing, 2. see something like this you for once see how fragile life is, and in a second, can be snuffed out. kaput! goodbye adios, etc.
Wait a sec, delete it? nuke it? sounds like abit of censorship, is it that bad to see what COULD happen to you, or your buddies? Tough, I WILL agree, that he should have posted a warning, but you know what, bet most would have looked anyway. all things aside, seeing things like this helps keep me rooted. lets me know regaurdless of all that lovely gear, your just hamberger waiting to be chewed and spit out. you hear about accidents all the time, all over the world. and there a damn few of us that WONT look, or WANT to see what happen, regardless if itwill give us nightmares for weeks. No, i will not agree to wipe out or delete the picture, i will agree that from now on all pictures/links of this sort should have a warning posted IN THE SUBJECT LINE. i posted one awhile back about a biker that torpedoed a dump truck in mexico, i am pretty sure i did just that. heheh but then again, i bet that wouldnt make a difference, most just click on and on readding everything without even reading the Subjectline. if your THAT sensitive over seeing a Bikers mangled body, part your bike out now save yourself from the realization of what could happen to you next time you pull in the clutch. Ive had my run in with a gaurdrail, ive had my guts hangin out, and sold it 3 months later over being scared, igot over it, i know this could happen to me any time, its apart of what puts a smile on my face when i put the kickstand down and turn off the ign. to know i survived and i did something i love. its that feeling that allows me to ride hard and enjoy it. tell me, you skydivers out there, im sure you seen films of folks bouncing, did it stop you? does it sickin you or do you say damn that sucks, i wonder what happen to her/him, how did it happen, how can i bump the odds to keep it from happening to me? that picture shows a very real posible outcome to what we all do here, from the racers, to the stunters to the comuters to the sunday cruisers. live with it. or put up a sign (OBO) and live without it.
end of rant.
PS, wasnt looking to offend, please take it as such.
forgot to note, i see a Boot and a sneaker, where is teh other person?
Get rid of it.
In Holland this happens all too often, :guns: guardrails are everywhere and they are not biker friendly. the MAG (motorbikers action group) is currently fighting this, they have had a small succes so far. there's a short piece of highway now with a guardrail that has has sheets of metal under it so you wont slide under the rail. still not a pleasant thing to whack into a something hard, but at least you'll stay in one piece. I'm thinking of sending this pic to the :guns: minister of transportation, and I hope she pukes all over the her keyboard :x
I'll leave this one but any more of these type of posts in the near future and I'm gonna zap them.
And don't even start with that censoring crap, anyone here will tell ya that posts are almost never ever censored. Unlike most boards I visit which are always deleting, editing ect...
I did not look at the image, but just think how you guys might feel if you know of someone, friend or family member, that was killed in an auto accident or the like, and photos were taken & posted on the internet somewhere? I think this type of thing is totally disrespectful of the deceased person & their family.
Reminds me of when Dale Earnhardt's wife filed to prevent the release of photos of Dale after his accident at Daytona. Does the general public really need to see that? IMO no.
so a guardrail did it? blueknight, a guardrail had your guts hanging out? well thanks for telling us, i'll be more careful not to hit on eof those when i get my bike
I agree with that.
But if common decency doesn't prevent you from posting it, and there are no specific rules against it, then technically there's no reason to pull it down. IMO
You've got my support fully John, a great point by Pam G also.
You could argue both sides... Anyway, I always think it's discusting and after i see it I feel like puking.... But for some dumbass reason, I always look!
Brutal pic? Yes. Do we need to be reminded that this kind of stuff happens? Yes. May whatever supreme being you guys believe in watch over all of us so that this doesn't happen. Don't delete the post it's a good wake up call. Pam does have a very valid point, but didn't they show you guys those "Red Asphalt" movies in driver's ed? All those were pics of accident scenes used to try and scare us into driving safely, right? My condolences to his family. It is a tragedy none the less.
Regardless of what protective gear is worn, there is no defying the law of physics. The energy on impact must go somewhere. Even a cage will not save our life if the condition of the accident does not favor us.
Quoteso a guardrail did it? blueknight, a guardrail had your guts hanging out? well thanks for telling us, i'll be more careful not to hit on eof those when i get my bike
yes, i did, and guess what, it happend at 15 mph. damage to bike? not even a mirror broke.
QuoteDoes the general public really need to see that?
Yes, how many of you got ill at it? how many of you will remember this picture when your riding? what will it do to your riding style?
privacy thing, well, yes and no, it was on a public roadway so there is no privacy, but why not shade out the face/name if shown to keep reconition down. that i could live with.
QuoteAnd don't even start with that censoring crap, anyone here will tell ya that posts are almost never ever censored.
yes john, that is specificly why most of us Value what is said here, cuz its presented as typed, not blacked out or deleted. its also why so many here respect one another and can get along, cuz everyone can have their say.
funny i didnt read alot of bitching when someone posted a link to a topless chick holding a sign, i love gstwin.com that had NO warning. this being the case then i can easly assume that all the members of this board find porn acceptable, but not realistic gore that does deal DIRECTLY with what we do?
again, I will agree... let me quote this,
" I agree, that such postings of pictures/links containing gore/porn have a warning to content in the subjectline, and that only such must be connected to motorcycleing. other such content is not exceptable or wanted, and will not be tolerated and will be subject to deletion and a possible suspention of your posting privleges"

Nothing, could be more fair, or expected then the above statement. to do more or less would be wrong.
I value and respect everyones thoughts and statments here, regaurdless if i agree with them or not. I may not agree with what you say, but i will defend your right and option to say it.
you can look over any of my old postings, i dont trash talk anyone and wont. i dont look to piss ppl off, intentionaly anyway. and i have A DAMN BIG LOAD of respect for someone to put up and operate such a site with the amount of dedication that you have john. you being the owner/sysop have the right to do as you plz. But i think most here would agree and do respect you for the fact you dont play god on here. (unless someone is trying to be a blatant a$$) i have said my peace, i willstand by it 100% I hope no one thinks less of me for it.
Sorry, this is reality folks. If you work in EMS or at a hospital, you get to see things like this often. It's an absolute tragedy for the family, but it's also (hopefully) a wake up call to anyone who who thinks he doesn't need to be concerned with safety, skill development and caution on the street. Maybe this kid was a safety freak... none of us know, but clearly there's a lot of risk in this sport even if you do everything right. What do you think it means when people say motorcycling is dangerous and potentially deadly?? To ban these types of pics just helps sanitize people's perception of riding. There's obviously a lot more to it than specs, mods, dyno charts and theortical discussions about which bike carves better and accelerates faster. Ride safe.
Not that I am an expert, But I have serious doubts that this picture is real. I am an EMT so I guess the sicko in me had to examine the picture. How lucky that all the gear ended up close to the body Also I noticed that there were no hands and feet visable (the hardest thing to make look real) Perhaps my computer image was not as good as some peoples but honestly...for those injuries there was not enough blood. The average male contains six liters of blood...just my opinion. However warnings for graphic/pornographic pictures are always appreciated.
im thinking the clothes are like that because they dragged him and his stuff off the road so that cars could pass
katie, he had both gloves and boots on
I find such pictures to be educational and cautionary. It makes me think: We are not invincible or immortal, and even good gear can't save us from everything. This does happen, and can happen to me.
This helps me think twice when I'm tempted to go all macho gung-ho aggressive and ride like a maniac. It causes me to ride more carefully.
There are a lot of wild riders who give in to the temptation to push beyond their limits or the limits of the machine or physics, and I wish more of them would see pictures like this and think about them. It might save their lives.
It takes this kind of gore to make it real, to give it emotional impact, to make it more than a mere theoretical possibility that could be too easily shrugged off or ignored.
It would be more helpful, however, it there was also information about what happened and why.
Just my opinion.
I have a grandfather who is permanetly disabled, and whos girlfriend was killed in a motorcycle accident.
In 96 my stepdad was killed when he was blindsided by a truck (on a Honda Elite 150 of all things).
I was also the first responder to a fatal accident involving a Harley and a car load of teenagers.
Motorcycle tragedy runs very deep in my family, and is at the very front of my mind at all times.
Every time I suit up and go for a ride, wether it be a sunday ride or a ride to work, I prepare that it very well could be the last time I ever get on my bike. I kiss my Fiance like its the last time I will ever be able to kiss her.
I feel that this awarness of my own mortality helps hone my awarness to what is going on around me.
Allthough pictures like this are very gorry, and difficult to look at. I would hope that it reminds everyone how incredibly vurnerable we are out there between all those 3000lb blind beasts.
I am glad and respect the moderators of this board very much for not censoring things like this.
Good luck, and ride safe.
Micah
good for you micah. :) ride safely.
live everyday like it's the last...
well, if you go to the link, and change the last number on the link, up or down, there is a total of about 4 pics to this scene. this guy didnt hit and fall, whats more, there was a passenger. notice there is a Boot, and there is a sneaker, BOTH are for the left foot. also, alot of that plastic isnt from the bike, its Fan shroud and splash gaurd from the car that drug him along, there is a wheel from the bike laying less then 5 feet from him, and its destroyed. this did not happen at no 60 mph, and they did not come to rest within 250 feet either i will leave it up to you to find the other pictures. this is a real pic sadly enough. i too have seen enough of these as both my father being a miami Cop, and mother working trama.
True i am a gore fan, i find Forensic's very interesting, yes i do feel sorry for those involved, both alive and dead. but the how it happend = results will always peek my intrest. its also seeing gore and the whys/howcomes that allows me to deal with things like this in person, how many of you have stuck a finger in someones artery without freaking just to keep them from bleeding out? better yet, how many of you can hold your own innerds from falling out? no this isnt machismo. i went into shock bigtime after i got to hospital. but there isnt much that can freak me since then.
mr road pizza did this on a straight stretch of road....
no guard rail....
no car in pic....
in brazil....
the link pic is where they were collecting pieces
gotta love adding a little bleach to the gene pool
If you change the number on the link to 840, 841, etc there are some more pictures of a different motorcycle accident where the guy riding appears to have been ripped completely in half. Its a pretty grusome pic so those of you with weak stomaches consider yourselves so warned.
John L.
PS- Its been a while kids, its nice to be back. Its too bad that its involving some nasty stuff like this.
Later.
whatever you do do not go to the site that this is from it is disgusting as hell.
Quotefunny i didnt read alot of bitching when someone posted a link to a topless chick holding a sign, i love gstwin.com that had NO warning. this being the case then i can easly assume that all the members of this board find porn acceptable, but not realistic gore that does deal DIRECTLY with what we do?
Good point.
I didn't look at the picture. I for one appreciate the warning, and I like that I can still read the posts about this topic without actually looking at the picture. A few months ago some gory pictures were posted right on the page when you opened up the topic. That pissed me off. I think most of us are old enough to decide if we need to see disgusting pictures to appreciate life, and the risks inherent in motorcycling.
I did type in the the address up to ".com" and left the rest of the url off. I agree 96gs, just looking at the index page is sickening.
Fake!
I dont think it fake? you can look at the other pictures... besides it makes sense that his body has dragged out of the way
Maybe I'm slow, or just not thinkin' straight....but can someone tell me the point of putting something like this on here [or anywhere for that matter]? We ALL ride, and we ALL know the dangers...I don't need to see some dudes intestines to know that....
I can handle anything, and this didn't gross me out, but I just fail to see the point of this...to me, it's just the Internet's way of slowing down to gawk at the accident on the highway...it's pointless....I guess people just wanna see blood and guts.....
You guys can have it. :dunno:
Oh yeah, on a side note, we finally got some snow today....almost december and it's the first snow for us...it was a good year...my bike is gonna love it's new parking spot in my living room..
the point was to show an unknown comrade's fate while doing something we all love to do, its also to hopfully remind us of how easy it is to endup this way and for us to check ourselves as everyone here has gotten silly now and again when we shouldnt. thats how i and many others view this picture. If you feel you dont need such a reminder, then i must say good for you, your selfcontrol rivals shaolin monks and we should all be that way. i know, i get stupid more often then i should, i can only hope my combined skills and luck hold out, but for the past 2weeks this pic has been on here, i have mellowed abit. hope its done the same to others (track time aside) i have also mellowed abit more cuz my face shield broke, and i cant get a replacment for my old bieoffee. hoping income tax return time i can buy a new helmet and 5 face shields.

Here's my contribution. This one is even more graphic. So, seriously, no one is forcing you to click onto that link. Is your self-control really that lacking? Yes, fatalities happen, and here is a picture. If it bothers you so much, don't click. We're not 5 year old kids, we can control our selves and not click. So, you've been warned. DON'T CLICK ON IT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. K? Expect brainage, deadage, and boodage.

seen it. still disgusts me though. you know, its just the brains splattered every where. :?
Wow, had alot on his mind didnt he?.......guess he can now be called an airhead.
Or even a brainless idiot. :dunno:
