I'm leaving for the US Air Force basic training tomorrow, but today my recruiter is sending me to the hotel near the MEPS (Military Entrance Processing) building. Tomorrow I go through my official swearing in, so I won't be able to post for a while. Be safe, everyone, and I'll be back on in a few months.
Best wishes and Good Luck! :thumb:

my frioend THANK YOU.   touch bases here whenever you can. you are always welcome. and if im in the neighborhood, drinks are on me. ( a promise i make AND KEEP to all mil people here. and elsewhere
I'm back, but not really. I just graduated yesterday and off to Tech School I go on Monday. I hope to purchase another bike within a year or two after I pay off my car. I hate riding around seeing people on bikes and knowing I can't have one right now.
Your thinking the right way. Pay off the car before buying something else. I've seen too many young people fresh in the military get in way over their heads with car/motorcycle debt. Are American bases surrounded by used car dealerships filled with repossessions like so many Canadian military bases?
Hey ver4!! Congrats!! If you visit, you can always borrow the Van Halen from BaltimoreGS (or the nighthawk!!).
Congrats! You will be on 2 wheels soon enough!

hell yeah they are. so many "buy here pay here" type lots , i counted 6 surrounding hte hopkinsville KY entrances to Ft campbell, and many of hte boneyards were full of repops
Thank you for the congrats. Looks like I'll be stationed in Italy after hot training, so I don't know the likelihood of buying a bike now.

When in Italy, ride as the Italians! Ducati? Aprilia?
