Title: Indicator lights don't work anymore
Post by: DSoup on August 28, 2011, 04:06:21 PM
So I got into a minor accident during the summer and my turn signals no longer work

Deets:  The front left one was knocked off, but the other lights lit up steady for awhile until after a thundershower when they all went dead along with the instrument cluster indicator light.  All other electrics work fine.

What I've done:  I've taken the panels off looking for obvious damage, burnt wires and such, seen none.  I also traced the electrics from the battery to the signal button with one of those lightbulb on a stick things and it worked on the metal switch in there.

What do I try next?

Find the indicator relay behind the LH side panel, pull the plug and short out the two wires with a paperclip, orange and blue. Flick the switch and see if they come on..........if the do the relay is fugged.
