I'm new to this forum so forgive me if I mess up this post.
Recently picked up a dirt cheap 1990 GS500 in generally pretty good shape. I've been getting it going and had some work done on it in the shop, and was told that the gas tank is trashed. The tech said it was so dirty and rusty it looked like someone used it as a garden planter.
I could get it steamed out and sealed, but I think a new used tank is a better option.
Please contact me if you have one to sell (naturally, it should be in better condition than the one I have). Also, if you have matching plastics if it is not a 1990 (red) tank, I might take those as well.
(BTW I am in Tacoma, WA 98402).
When you get a tank, I have a rather large collection of tails. Here's part of it (I'm in West Seattle)

I would be much obliged if you do happen to see an 89-00 tank to point them my way or message me. That would be a big help! These things are not easy to find quickly, it seems.
I happened to pick up a spare tank... however it is in need of some paint, and has a dent on one side... but the inside is in good shape, I can get some photos If you're interested?
