Title: PAIR block off plates
Post by: rkjjeep on September 12, 2011, 03:49:43 PM
2 PAIR block off plates for any GS500 with PAIR system.  These fasten to the head in place of the tube assemblies using original nuts and gaskets.  You can remove the system by pulling the tank, plugging the vacuum source for the pair valve, remove everything else, and use these block off plates as shown in picture. You will also need to cap the airbox when you remove the hose that runs from the airbox to the PAIR valve.   I am not advocating removing the system, but if you need these here they are!

$6 total and I will cover shipping to 48 states usa.

I could use them. Probably will leave off that system on the 2006 engine I got for our project. The system is not on there now, so best to leave it off to keep things cleaner and easier to work on.
PM me with payment info.
Thanks.

I'm interested in eventually removing my PAIR system. My state doesn't require motorcycles to pass emissions, so the idea of the PAIR system is kind of pointless. Wasn't it added to make California happy anyway? The only place in the world where you can get cancer from anything.

Where might I be able to pick up a set for myself?

I have 4 that have one side machined for an o-ring.  They are technically made for Hayabusa but are exactly the same size as GS500.  I would face the side machined for o-ring "out", so if you look closely you would see the o-ring groove facing out.  You'll need to use your old gaskets, new gaskets or just use high temp RTV.  PM me your ship to address and I will send you two plates for cost of shipping (you can pay me after I ship).
