Title: Crowd lifts flaming car off motorcylist(semi-graphic content warning)

have no clue on what caused the accident, but the rider definitely had no gear(including helmet.) news says he is critically injured, but stable.

a scary sight. i'm thankful for the citizens that risked explosion to save him.

Wearing no gear almost makes the rider as stupid as the BMW driver who pulled out in front of him. He is lucky to still be breathing. In fact I am betting a helmet would have made it harder for him to slide under the car.

Fire fighters have proven under controled conditions that cars are likely to not explode when burning. But I totally agree that those guys did a superb job in saving the rider.

if it was fully involved, then perhaps. but mainly id say car hits bike, bike catches fire. fire transfers to car. had the car continued running, there was a risk the fire could have followed the fuel line. gotten hte car more involved etc. but by that time, biker woulda been well toasted.

If you look carefully when he is dragged from under the car. The leg that is being pulled looks very broken. Look how floppy and un-natural it looks.

Yeah, definitely looked like an extra bend in the femur area now that you mention it.

i guarantee it was lol. i know that woke him up if he was out. but its hell with comfort your ass is moving. either grab and drag or leave him be.
