Title: Adding a cigarette lighter adapter
Post by: rthughes on November 24, 2003, 01:57:46 PM
Does anyone know how one could add an adapter for a cigaretter lighter so that a radar detector or other things could be used on the gs?
Thanks.
Ross

One method is shown on my web site (see the link below my post).  You can see the "official GStwin.com version" by using the drop-down in the upper-right corner of this web page and choosing "Modification & How To".  It's listed as "Installing a Cigarette Lighter".

Another way to go is to contact the folks at CEM-CON.  They make detachable cigarette lighter adaptors that hook to the battery with a Battery Tender-compatible cord.  This would be pretty handy for recharging/maintaining your battery as well as powering your accessories.

I don't know why CEM-CON doesn't currently have any pictures on their website (http://www.cem-con.com), but they DO list an email address for further info.

Hey thanks a lot.  That should work perfectly.  Thanks again.
