Title: WTB: touch up paint
Post by: nygfred56 on September 20, 2011, 10:43:13 AM
Want to buy some touch up paint for a scratch in the tank of a '06 gs500f.

Suzuki YBA deep pearl blue #2.

The only place i saw online to buy this was through ColorRite.com, and they are trying to sell a touch up jar for $21. That seems pretty steep. I only need a small amount. If anybody bought some and has extra paint left over you could recoup some of that investment.

NAPA said they are unable to match that color.

Just do like Shepa and stick a bullet hole sticker on your doh! spot.

It was a relatively small chip/scratch. so I went the cheapskate route and used nail polish. It came out ok. at some point I'll probably try to do a better job.

But for everyone's information, the color "Skin Tight Jean" nail polish by NYC is pretty much a perfect color match. Got it at Target for $1.
