J/K and your bike looks very cool.
How is that trick paint job holding up?

Oh, by the way johNLA, the paint is still sweet. My bike was blown over in a wind storm a few weeks back, but only bars, engine case, and exaust were marked up. Oh, and a broken mirror.

Obviously the picture isn't genuin. I don't have dual headlights. I'm currently looking for them. That is just good photoshop work from Jared. If anyone has any extra time, like Pablo at work, I'm looking for duals like the ones in the pic. They are the lights off of the new Buell lightning. I haven't found a site that is selling them seperately. I'm going to contact a dealership soon, but any help would be... um... helpful.
Thanks,

Yeah, I'll bill my time to the monastery project we're working on...
Try the dealer-they sell the whole setup, with the fairing for something around $150. I posted a thread on an alternative dual headlight setup recently showcasing a bandit owner who had done the switchover and he said it was in that price range. Cheaper than any aftermarket stuff, for sure.

And who exactly said Jared did the photochopping? Did you see who is hosing the pic? Wanna guess who really did it?
Yeah, it was Jared, I'm just busting you Pablo. you think a dealer will sell these lights for $150? Less than I figured.
I would like to hear your hypothesis on the pic John.

Yep- Based on my purchase a year ago of a new Buell Blast screen for $60, and how inexpensive the Buell turn signals are I have no doubt this to be true. Total comes to $130 for the set-up, less brackets that need to be fabricated...
From the post on
Maximum-Suzuki.com about the headlight conversion:
You really only need to order 3 items from your local HD stealer: The headlight unit itself (mine was $60), the screen (I got mine for $60), and a large mounting bracket to attach the screen and headlight to. The bracket looks like this (I printed the picture out and took it into the dealer--make sure you get the bracket for the XB9S, since the XB9R bracket looks similar):

You attach the screen to this bracket using four screws included with the screen--if you look closely in the original pic, you can see the four screws, which correspond to the four holes in the bracket above. This bracket attaches to the brackets below, using the same bolts which attach the headlight.
To attach the headlight I bent some bar stock that I had laying around into the shape I needed--it looks similar to this (this is on an SV650, but you get the idea):

Bending the brackets was the hardest part, since they have to be identical. This involved bolting them onto the two bolts directly under the black plastic instrument housing, noting which side needed to be bent a little more, and then unbolting and bending, etc etc. I went down to the local hardware store and found some mounting bolts for the lights, and then drilled holes in the ends of each of the brackets to attach them. As far as wiring, it was ridiculously simple. I cut the plug off of the headlight unit, soldered some connectors to the three wires, and then plugged the sucker right into the Bandit connector plug. The wires are even the same color. A monkey could connect this thing.
One thing I don't like: the high and low beams are independant--one bulb is high, one is low, and they aren't on at the same time. If I remember right, the wattage is 65/55. On the plus side, the brightness of this unit is like night and day from my old stock unit.
