Title: Cold Weather Clothing
Post by: dohabee on October 01, 2011, 02:35:00 AM
I will be working outdoors this winter in NC but I'm used to Texas weather, so I am looking for some clothing suggestions.

Anybody have experience with a particular brand of work boot. I prefer slip on style as opposed to laces. I had a pair of DR. Martins work boots but they sucked.

Also I'm looking for some type of waterproof glove/mitten combo.

I guess coveralls would be better than separate jacket/pants any suggestions there?

thats the only thign worth having IMHO. IIRC carhartt made some decent boots too. i havea pair From USAF. were given to me. by a friend. since my feet have swollen i cant use them anymore. lol. but those boots i loved em. they were lacers, BUT they also supported my ankles . now i got to finda half way decent coat. riding a stand up scooter at 26mph on 38 f weathr isnt fun lol.
