Title: Thanks Anti/Pablo!!!!
Post by: vtlion on November 25, 2003, 04:01:53 PM
Thanks to Antibody for givin' me the skinny on the F-16 windscreen and to Pablo for help with the turn-signal mounting.  I tried the larger bulbs, but they were so crazy bright with the clear lenses that I went back with the originals with the amber inner-lense and left them flashing fast (its really not all that much faster than normal IMHO).

Before and after, quite a change... no?

The windscreen really helps keep the wind off the zipper of my jacket around town, and at highway speeds I can belly down even with my tank-bag on and get a good slip-stream going right over my helmet.  I'm pleased with both of the changes.  Oh yeah, and you'll probably  notice that I finally acquired a better jacket.  I picked it up off a former student for a good price.  It's way better than my last one.

THANKS GUYS!!!   :thumb:  :cheers:  :mrgreen:

peace

it was cake  :mrgreen: .  Only took a few minutes once I got the headlight off and found the proper wrench to remove the nut securing the signal stalks.  I'm a slacker, so instead of wiring in a female bullet-connector to the signals, I just fed the wires through the tip of the male connector, out the side and wrapped around a few times, then plenty of electrical tape to finish the job  :thumb:

Start to finish it only took about 20 minutes to do the fronts.  Pablo's site is VERY helpful with the procedure.  Also, be sure if you buy buells to check the outer lenses at the dealership to be sure they match, I ended up with two darker smoke lenses and two lighter smoke lenses, so I just put the darker on the rear and the lighter on the front.  not a biggie, but something to be aware of.

Man for a second I thought there was a Bizarro Pablo hanging around.

Deleting posts at a record rate.
Reattaching fenders wherever he finds them.
Lengthening turn signal stalks.

<shudder>

It's good to know that all in the world is right.
