so is the standard 2004gs a gsf? and if so what exactly does the r stand for in the gsr? :dunno:

the gsr as far as I can tell is strickly an aftermarket fairing kit for the gs. the gs500f is the official gs500 with factory fairing. gsr looks like the 00-02 gsxr and the gs500f looks like the 03 gsxr (headlight shape is different).

no.

there was a post about a guy importing full fairings from belgium (photos in WoF, near the back-headlight like previous gen gsxr600)-he wants $850 for the fairing set-up and calls it a GSR.

then there's the gs500f from suzuki-full fairing (headlight like 03 gsxr600) and additional oil cooler and possibly some extra bits. Like I said above, all gathered right here.
