Title: ASV Levers and Perch
Post by: Gibo on October 16, 2011, 04:52:15 AM
Hi,

My current clutch perch is damaged so I ordered some new ASV F3 SV-650 99-2001 levers and a 01 sv650 perch from ebay.

My question is, in regards to the clutch perch what will I need to do to be able to use the clutch perch that come with the ASV as standard (ie: clutch cable) and are any modifications to the clutch cable needed for the SV-650 perch.

Bike is a 07 GS500F.

Thanks for any advice!

I just replaced my levers with some "made in china" copies of shorty adjustable levers.  I replaced my GS500 clutch perch with a SV650, and there were no modifications needed for it to work with the GS500 clutch cable.  You just need to keep the adjuster bolt and lock nut that screws into the perch.
